Pharmalp has developed a range of 4 food supplements with strains of bacteria whose scientific and clinical effectiveness has been proven.
Pharmalp bacteria strains are primarily intended to be dispensed by pharmacies. Our range facilitates quick and effective consultations at the pharmacy counter, adapted to specific needs concerning very common disorders:
Pharmalp has respected a strict set of specifications in the selection of its bacteria strains and development of its products:
- Choice of strains which meet the quality criteria defined by international health organisations (WHO, EFSA, etc.) ;
- Choice of combinations of bacteria strains that have proved their effectiveness during clinical studies;
- Choice of strains and manufacturing process that enable finished products to be stored at room temperature (< 25°C);
- Stability of strains and concentration guaranteed 24 months after manufacture.
The quality of strains, synergy of action, stability and storage method are essential criteria in creating an effective probiotic product. The key points are as follows:
1/ Ensure that the product is composed of probiotic strains which have been approved by competent organisations or authorities , to guarantee their safety and effectiveness.
2/ Check that scientific studies have been carried out on combinations of probiotic strains contained in the product and not on other strains.
3/ Try to use products that provide the daily concentration necessary to be effective (at least 1 billion live probiotics or 1 x 109 CFU (colony forming unit)). Important: The concentration indicated on the packaging must be guaranteed by the laboratory on the expiry date and not on the date of manufacture.
4/ Check that the product can be stored at room temperature (<25°C), to guarantee stability and quality.
